Handmade Turtle Bead Lanyard

I made this turtle bead out of an ivory blend clay and placed it on a turquoise blue bead blank that I had made. It was baked, stained, sanded, stained again, heated and buffed on a jewelers wheel.

Purple Dragonfly Lanyard

These are so much fun! I've seen these made into key chains, but I decided to change it a bit. I added a rolo or large hole bead for a head and have woven the ends around the back. I can make these in lots of different colors. These are fun to hang nametags and small sets of keys off of.

Six Strand Celtic Knot Bracelet in Paracord

I saw a knot that I really liked and decided to make it into a bracelet and use 550 paracord. This is a knot tied with six strands and will make this just under 1.5" wide.

Handcrafted Polymer Clay Beads

I have been making beads to use with my paracord bracelets. I have made some that look like ivory, turquoise and coral. I will be making more beads with animal tracks on them as well.

About Me

My photo
I enjoy silversmithing, making jewelry, beads and working with paracord. I sculpt in polymer clay and desert themes are my favorite. I'm always looking for ways to incorporate the beauty of nature into my work. My work has been published in a large book called "1000 Beads," Lark Jewelry and Beading, 2014. I have sold beads through the Glendale Bead Museum Shop, a gallery in Tucson and www.wearartbyjulie.etsy.com. I'm an artist currently showing my jewelry at the Shemer Art Center in Phoenix, AZ.
