Magenta Batik Shaggy Accent Quilt

This is a new quilt that I have finished in a variety of batik colors and two different colors of upcycled denim. I created strips of sewn fabric and cut them into squares. I added my shaggy rag strip accents on each square. The front and back are free motion quilted with a layer of low loft polyfill in the middle. It measures 34" x 38" and is the perfect size for a toddler or pre-schooler. I have never seen a quilt put together quite like this. This is my own design and I did not use a pattern. This quilt is available at www.wearartbyjulie.etsy.com. Thanks for looking!

About Me

My photo
I enjoy silversmithing, making jewelry, beads and working with paracord. I sculpt in polymer clay and desert themes are my favorite. I'm always looking for ways to incorporate the beauty of nature into my work. My work has been published in a large book called "1000 Beads," Lark Jewelry and Beading, 2014. I have sold beads through the Glendale Bead Museum Shop, a gallery in Tucson and www.wearartbyjulie.etsy.com. I'm an artist currently showing my jewelry at the Shemer Art Center in Phoenix, AZ.
